Madison, New Jersey is a little town situated within Morris County in New Jersey. Madison is named such in honor of President James Madison and is often referred too as The Rose City because at one point in history it was the number one producer of roses in the world, which has remained their prie and glory and is a celebrated fact at a rose festival every year. The Small suburban town is 4.2 square miles and is located just outside of New York City, Madison. It is a quaint little city that is rich in history and quaint charm.

Residents of Madison, New Jersey are able to commute to larger suburban areas and the big cities to Hoboken and to Penn Station through the use of the New Jersey Transit's Madison Station. There are also routes to the major interstates 24, 78, and 287 that provides just as easy access to reach any other major cities. Though The city is a small, quiet one, it is easy to get to the bigger busier cities surrounding it. Madison, NJ is also only a few minutes away from an upscale mall that has over 150 stores and restaurants so a day out is easily accessible.

Madison has worked hard to give its residents and its tourists a great deal of things to do. There are several public and very lush parks for people to enjoy and do things like exercise, walk, play with their pets, etc. There are playgrounds in several locations with plenty of things for kids to do, nature trails to embrace, and picnic areas for family and friends to enjoy a fun outdoor meal together. One of the most popular parks in Madison is the Dodge Field park which has everything anyone could look for including ball fields, basketball courts, and playgrounds for the kids. It is a popular place to go and enjoy the outdoors.

Every year, Madison comes together to celebrate a day they refer to as Bottle Hill Day. They have festivals, music, games, every type of food imaginable and so many more activities for everyone to enjoy. It usually has 20,000 or more people celebrating from all corners of the country.

The small-town city is also home to one of the 25 professional stage theaters in the entire state, and they have dedicated the theater to performing classical pieces by masters like Shakespeare. The theater brings tourists from near and far to the little town to enjoy the shows and end up loving the charming town.
In 1856, Seton Hall College was established in Madison and Drew University was founded in 1867 and continues to give higher education to people. Fairleigh Dickinson University also has a campus in Madison at what once was Twombly estate.

The town of Madison is not large, nor draped with many upscale stores. But it is rich in charm and history and its close community attracts tourists to keep coming back and makes residents feel like they are at home.
